my ram 1500 has been having a thunk in the steering wheel since first 6 weeks I bought it. there is a bearing boot that sticks out from firewall about 3". should this boot with a round end be pushed toward the firewall to hold bearing together? how does the air bag deploy? my steering wheel center in now pushed up out of steering wheel. I disconnected battery. I need help asap.

Not sure what you are getting at, a clunk in the steering, air bags, a disconnected battery. Not really a lot of information to go on.

Take it to the dealer if drivable, if not have them come pick it up. That is what you have a warranty for.

Have it towed to the dealer. Sounds like maybe your intemediate shaft has come loose and is pushing up into the steering wheel.
