2016 Ram 3500 with 15K miles on it and had a popping and clunking noise when turning or just diving. It would vibrate at 70+ speed. I took it in this week to Burns Motors in Mcallen, TX. It was out the same day with the poping and clunking noise gone. They replaced the Lower and intermediate steering column shaft. The vibration minimized and was advised to rebalance and rotate tires.

Thank you for letting others know about the noise & the fix
Surely others will read this & have it checked out as a possible fix

Could you feel it in the steering wheel as well as hear it? I have a similar problem that has me worried. What did it cost to replace?

I had a similar problem with my 2016 1500 Big Horn... turns out that the axle housing was rusted out on both sides of the differential and was loose thus the “clunking” noise... they are going to replace the whole front end & it’s all covered under the warranty!???
