I was looking at a Ram 1500 that was parked next to my new to me 2016 Ram 2500 and noticed the rear inner fenders on the 1500 extended down past the frame while my 2500 inner fenders stop at the top of my frame. I live in Northern NY where the DOT loves putting salt on the roads by the tons. Has any one every fitted a set of inner fenders off a 1500 onto a 2500? The boxes are the same and I priced the inner fenders from my local dealer and the are a little over $ 100 a piece. Price is not bad but the dealer says once he orders them I own them and will not be able to return them. After seeing what salt has done to my poor old 2001 Dodge 1500 I really want to enclose this area better. I buddy owns a 2016 2500 also and took his box off his truck this spring and the inside of the frame rails was filled with sand and salt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The beds are the same for all Rams (1500, 2500, 3500) assuming they are the same size (6.4', 8'). IDK about suspension clearance or anything
