19 1500 rear window nightmare finally got me. Took it in for MGU (etorque) failure. Had the dealer check out a TPMS sensor that recently started acting up while it was there. Was told faulty sensor so they replaced it. Upon test drive after new sensor the light went off again. Digging deeper into it they noticed water in the cab.(water stained headliner that I didn’t notice). Telling me the RF-hub must’ve gotten wet and that’s what’s causing the TPMS failure. Now telling me I need to have them replace the rear window ($$$), RF-hub, and I’m still on the hook for the TPMS sensor and hour of labor to change it when that wasn’t the issue to begin with. They were nice enough to replace the third break light (covered under warranty). Curious as to how a manufacturer defect that has been this big of issue is passed on to consumers. So since they did a poor job designing the seal on the rear window I’m stuck with a fairly new truck that needs a rear window, rf-hub, serious interior detail to remove the water stain from headliner and musty smell from water sitting in the truck. Is FCA/stellantis really turning there shoulder to this issue? @ramcares

For what it's worth, a couple of months ago, I received a letter from FCA Customer Care concerning the Ram's rear window. I'm not sure if your vehicle is cover with it, but you might check your V.I.N. with them.

Here is the letter, minus my personal details.

Kate I’m having the same issue as many others here. What’s a good contact number or email for assistance? Please share with the group.

Our 2014 mega cab. Dooley Limited also leaks above the rear window on the passenger side. The headliner gets wet and drips down to the carpet. We tried the third brake light, but that did not cure. It seems to be happening above the window as the ceiling starts getting wet right in the upper corner if the truck is pointed at a slight uphill that’s when this happens if it’s pointing downhill, it leaks at the front door handle on the passenger side grab handle at the A pillar same situation on a 2006 mega cab leaking from the front grab handle a pillar Quite a bit of water 1 gallon will leak in and a 1 inch rain. we have checked the sunroof drain on both trucks in the front. Not sure if there are rear sunroof drains. Someone said put a straw into the drain at the door jam to hold open the rubber lips need to try that the common feature on both these trucks is sunroof although only the new truck gets the rear corner wet wondering if there are rear drains in the sunroof track. We are also disgusted with our dealership as they botched some of our 14 recalls. We currently have no tags as we are experiencing the recall where they need to reprogram the computer for a smog issue. We need to find a dealership we can trust.

Hello Dakota, curious if your truck has the sunroof, we have a 2006 mega cab with a sunroof and it leaks from the front door grab handle passenger side mainly, we hang a 1 gallon bucket there to collect the water. 2014 mega cab 3500 Limited also leaks same spot from the front grab handle Truck has sunroof. Also, if it is parked in an uphill direction, it leaks from the headliner in the back corner next to the window drips down next to the window so we put towels there to collect the water when we cover the sunroof with an awning. We have curtail the leak so Ours appears to be sunroof. Problem tried to clear the drains, but I have not succeeded yet.

Well everyone I did reach out to Ram Cares and was transferred to a CSR. There was no help outside of giving the corporate email. I did email the issues we are having on Thursday, zero response. At this point I’m filing this week with the Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton’s office. This is fraudulent and bad business for we consumers and customers. The replacement window and frame is at minimum $1300 from the dealer. No guarantees it won’t happen again in two years.
