I have to drive on dirt roads fairly often
Plus we have sand storms out in the desert

Every once in while i pull my air cleaner out to look at it & i decide then

I tried the oil type air filters & i think that for my purposes, it is a waste of money

I change my oil every 6,000 miles; the first change was no different.

I went the recommended 30k on my first air filter and it was filthy. I do every 10k now

I follow the oil change gauge on the dash for oil and filter and replace the air filter every year on the anniversary of the purchase. Usually 11,000 miles - its fairly dirty but there is usually a lot of leaves and debris around the filter that I vacuum out.

I would actually not use K&N because any benefits to power or mileage would be marginal at best and would be at the cost of filtration ability.

Mopar is good, so is Wix, and so are the Purolators. I think the Mopar ones may actually be a rebranded Purolator

I've used reusable cold air filter on past two models of Ram Trucks.
AEM 28-20247 DryFlow Air Filter. Direct OEM type. Read reviews... I'm getting 18.8 mpg local driving with my 2019
