I suspect my CPS to be faulty. Volt meter on the 3 CPS wires.
0v (somtimes 5v) at signal
0v at ground
5v reference
Key on Engine off, volt meter ground on truck frame, positive on reference wire I get 5v, so good. Positive on signal wire, I get 0v, if I put a large metal wrench near it, it jumps to 5v. Isn't this backwards? Shouldn't it be reading 5v with no metal near it and 0v when metal IS near it?
