Does anyone know if there is a name for the 4WD system on the 4th Gen 1500?
Is it known as Select Track, Command Track or something like that?
I was looking at descriptions of the various systems Jeeps use on the website.
It has good info on how the different systems operate.

I've never heard of a 'name' for it, but it is based on either the NV243 or NV246 (4wd auto) transfer case.

Yes - I noticed this as well. The entire truck is very 'jeep-like'. I suspect the standard 4-wheel drive system is straight from the 2k (is it WJ?) Jeep GC 4.7l Laredo as it had a selectable 2 wheel drive system. And the option system on some 1500's is a full time 4wd like those of the 2k Jeep GC limited - I've owned both Jeeps with the earlier 4.7l and the system was plenty strong and awesome for towing.

I agree that the 2k Jeep GC Laredo that was a 4.7l was full-time 2wd with a selectable 4wd system and was called Select-Trac and the 2k Jeep GC Limited with the 4.7l was a Quadra-Drive (I still have this truck so I guess I could go out and look because it's planted right on the rear hatch) - Both were robust systems and I put 100k on both in the Jeeps towing a 5k boat for many seasons with no issues at all.
