would there be value of putting my truck in 4x4 when I in backing my boat into the garage? My driveway is on incline and in 2 wheel drive it is a stops and you have to give it a fair amount of gas pedal to overcome the hill.

I had a 4000 lb boat that would spin my tires when backing it up. I put my 2500 in 4x4 low range and just let it creep back and never spin a wheel. just don't do any tight turning and you should be fine.

With a 1500 you have no options for lockouts, just don't turn the wheel in 4 lo, hard to do when backing a trailer. In a 2500 or 3500 aftermarket lockouts help greatly as you can still turn the wheels in 4 lo on hard surface.

Hi Ram Quad, try 4 Hi and see if it helps. Sounds like you just need a little more push to go up the incline.
