2001 Ram 1500 5.2...runs fine for a few miles then oil pressure goes to zero and there loud knocking noise from bottom end. If i have a spun bearing, why isn't the knocking always present? Maybe it's clogged oil galleys? Or? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Probably clogged pick up screen, Drop the pan you can look at both.
