Do your contacts show up on your radio under the phonebook tab in the phone window?

 

When you first synced your new phone, did you get the prompt on it to allow the truck to access your contacts? If not, your phone may not be allowing it. Delete your phone and add it back. Make sure you get the prompt to allow contact access.

Not all phones are supported with uconnect.

Go here and look up your phone to make sure it will work.

I'm having the same issue with the mine. I have an IPhone 6 and when the dealer synced my phone it did download my contacts. I haven't downloaded the new software yet. Also I just noticed my garage door remote buttons don't work anymore. I did set them up but for some reason they stopped working..

 

Mine doesn't recognize voice commands after the upgrade.

 

Ever since they updated the software because of the recall several things on Uconnect doesn't work like it did before. I just got off the phone with Uconnect and the final answer I got was yes it may have worked before and the updated version may have caused it not to perform as it did before. :4-dontknow: So they are admitting there are problems but at this time there doesn't seem to be a resolution.

On a 700 mile trip yesterday I tried 8 times to use the Assist button to contact them and each time I was on hold for almost 3 minutes then disconnected. Their response, "They are aware that was a problem and they are working on it."

And then she asked, "Is there anything else I can do for you"? :smiledown:

 

Had problems after updating my radio software. The radio would not play after the bluetooth sync to my phone. Deleted and re-added from both the radio and my phone the profile but still had the problem. Not until I did a hard power off/on reset on my phone did everything come back in.

 

I tried a hard reset of my phone and its still not working.

I have it narrowed down to either the new 8.4 update, or when I upgraded my Droid Turbo to Lollipop.

Either way, its real frustrating for the phone voice commands to not work.

 

I didn't realize that we both have the same phone... I also have lollipop and the new security update. I just went out and tried it on my truck and mine works as it is suppose to.. So I would say that it is not the android version that is causing it.

 

When I called Uconnect they said it may be the way I am saving the word was the reason the voice command was not working. I said to them, apparently YOU are able to understand me so it should not be the way I am saying the words. :-(

 

On mine since the latest update I know of at least one of the voice commands that have changed. I used to say "Pandora VIA mobile" to start Pandora on my Ram. After the update, all I got from Miss UConnect was that she couldn't understand me. After saying a few choice words to her (all of which resulted in the same response) I just said "Pandora". It took it the first time. It makes me wonder what other voice commands they changed. I wish they would produce a document of all of the current UConnect words and phrases that work.

 

Mine is simply that I cannot speak a contact when pushing the "phone" button on the steering wheel and then sayin "call Bob".

Everything else works..I can say a destination for NAV, etc.

Man its got me pissed!

And my Droid worked perfectly until I updated the software on the 8.4.

Anyone know if I can downgrade to the old software?

Just a follow up on this...I actually did a master reset of the head unit and it went back to software version 15.06, and everything functions as before.

There is definitely a bug in the newest software version.

 

Are you talking about the reset in the engineering menu. Resetting won`t change the software.
