I have a 92 D150 with Overdrive and a lock out converter. The million Dollar question is.
The switch on the dash to turn the over drive on and off. When it is out that means the over drive is engaged?
When it is lite up that means the overdrive is disengaged?

Ok I guess 3 questions.
When the switch is out and the over drive is engaged. Is the switch in a closed or open circuit??
I belive my switch is bad and I am thinking about wiring it together so the OD will work. Just not sure which wires to wire together.
I haven't looked lately to see how many wires there is going to the switch.

Any ideals??
Thanks in advance.

The switch has 4 wires - I just put my dash back together yesterday, after it had been apart for 6 years! Replaced all the bulbs, and it lit up perfectly when I mashed the button. Now I don't know whether the light means "ON" or "OFF!"

I still have the owner's manual though - I'll look it up, and report back.

If the light is lit od is off, light off od on. There may be other issues if your od is not working. Engages about 45 mph.
