So i decided to put a new engine in my 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.9L. I forgot to take pics of all the wires before taking the thing apart (I know rookie mistake:LOL:). I tried reading wiring diagrams for the truck but cannot make sense of any of them. I was hoping somebody knew of a wiring diagram with actual pictures that i can tell what is what or has good pictures of their engine showing where most of the wires go. I got most of them figured out, mainly need the ground wires and the wire that runs from the fuse box to the alternator. Any help would be appreciated.

The good thing here is that the factory is so cheap, the wires wont be any longer than they have to be! So if you have a wire with no home, its place is within a few inches! I have a 97 factory manual handy, so if you have some specific issues, please post, or pm me, and I will try to help.

Alright, I am back. I got a buddy over to help me with the wiring and we think we got it all figured out, however now it is throwing a bunch of transmission codes. P0753 (shift solenoid relay), P0713 (temp sensor, high voltage) P01763 (governor pressure). Except the temp sensor, it wasn't throwing these codes before the engine swap and the transmission was running fine. Is there something that I could have done when wiring the engine to get all these codes? Where is a good place to start looking before I try replacing the sensors and solenoids? The transmission was a rebuild from a shop I got a year ago so I have a hard time believing that the sensors are already bad unless there is something else causing them to go bad. Any thoughts?
