I think the easiest way to explain it is...it's a long block replacement.
The best way to do it is to add a day to the swap and do a side by side.
Half of the electronic connections are going to be different, and the intake vacuum lines. you can either plug one or two or add a "t" on the passenger's side. Exhaust manifolds, and a couple other small things.
I've got a '95 and if you decide not to swap it for an hour or twos worth of work...
