My dash caught on fire. I've replaced the wiring harness, and the dash, and the windshield. Everything is back in its place, except that I have this 8- pin electrical connector under the dash that I have no idea what it plugs into. The connector, has 6 wires going to it, so the two middle pins aren't being used. Idk if whatever it plugs into is, a relay, or something to do with the air bags, or starting, no clue. The part that goes into the plug, could've Burnt up in the original fire... I'm not sure. I do know that the truck won't start, and I believe that this is the last thing that's left to attach. . . The problem of not starting could also be elsewhere, I understand that. I'm just hoping someone out there will know what this plug goes to, and maybe my truck will run after I get.... Whatever attaches to this thing! Thanks everyone in advance, for your help.

Where did you get the wire harness? Was it the same year/engine as yours?
Yes, I pulled the dash at a junk yard. Same year make and model. The engine was the same too ( 5.2 liter).it's probably something stupid and that plug probably just goes to some accessory. It's most likely not in the starting system at all.

I literally just got done replacing the entire interior of my 2001 due to...fire. Looks like blower motor caught fire. So I bought truck from the guy, and began work. ANyway, can you tell me, what side is that plug on? I will take a look on mine as i am still in the process of wiring up a new stereo setup.
