Hi guys. I;m new to this site and new to owning a Dodge. I picked up a 98 dodge 4x4 reg cab with the 5.2 auto in it. An older guy owned and it really wasnt driven in the last 2 years. Maybe 500 miles or so. Anyways, it had 75k miles on it when I bought it and now about a 1k more. It is starting to have a slow speed wobble in the steering. It didnt do it untill a couple a days ago when I came around a turn at like 10mph. It has got worse since the start. Online I seen article about the death wobble on dodges, what is the cure? I seen kits online that you can get a new drag bar, ball joints and tie rod ends. Is it worth replacing all or trying to find out one thing at a time

Any input would be great. Thanks

What you're asking is a matter of preference...and money.

I'd suggest you have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you look under there for any looseness.

Then jack up the front end and check both side wheels, up and down, and side to side to check for play.

I prefer to isolate the problem and fix it or modify it accordingly. If there's a bad ball joint, outer universal joint, or any other problem not directly associated with the wobble, then you may wind up doing a lot of work and spending a lot of money to have shiny new parts to go with the wobble.
