Hey Yall my A/C is not blowing cold air. I have had it recharged and when I turned the AC on it was cold but you could smell the Freon. The next day it was hot again and the Freon was gone. I am assuming I have a leak but does anyone know where I should check first and or how I need to check it?

Hey Stephanie. There are a couple of ways you can go about checking it. First, who filled it up for you? If a shop did it, then shame on them for not checking for leaks first. Well, shame on whoever filled it for not checking for leaks, or at least not putting a dye in to check for leaks.
Anyway, most auto parts stores sell a/c leak kits. However, you will have to charge the system with freon again, this time with a dye in it, to find the leak. The dye will show where the freon is coming out. The other way would be to get a sniffer, a tool that sniffs the freon, but you will, again, have to charge the system with freon to find the leak.

Sounds like the core inside is leaking if you can smell it.
