So Im at a bar and get to talking to this guy who "has his own auto body shop" and says he has been doing some kind of paint restoration that keeps the paint looking way better then just waxed and with half the maintenance. Between me being half tipsy and me thinking hes some drunk old dude who is talking out of his ass i brushed it off but i took his business card anyways. Since then i lost his card and obviously have no way of contacting him. Bottom line does anyone know or heard of some putting a acrylic based product on a car?

Sorry, never heard of that. It sounds vaguely like the "Paint Protection" sealer dealers try to sell ya when you buy a new rig.

ive heard about it but never anything definitive....a good wax can act as a sealant so i wouldnt invest in it
