I got this one for my 2015 SLT Quad Cab. From E Trailer ! I have had good luck with them. I am sure they have one for your 2017! They have a install video and You Tube has a TON of install videos ! 2 people make it alot easier as they are frigging heavy ! A torque wrench is a Must, BUT for me I paid my mechanic 50$ to install so that made it real easy for this old fart lol. Most places will charge 1 hr labor. Since it is for towing I wanted everything to be right ! I also went with the Class 4 hitch which is overkill for my 1500 but IMO bigger is better :) and cost was about the same !

For a little more money I would go with the heavier full frame type just for piece of mind. Very easy to install and no hole drilling.

I would go with at least a class 4 hitch. A class 3 is only good for 6000 lbs without weight distribution bars; 10,000 lbs with weight distribution. Very easy to get up to those numbers. Class 4 should make it a non-issue for anything you want to tow.

Class 3s are for 4 wheelers and minivans, you want a class 5 with the 2.5"X2.5" receiver for an HD truck

Gotya.

I would echo the others above and say get a class IV at a minimum since anything with the Hemi + 8 speed has a tow limit that exceeds 8k or so even with a 3.21 rear end.
