The title is old news but overall some good news:

Ram’s current conservative rating practices mean that its towing capacities will remain unchanged, or will actually increase, under J2807, which was meant to be an industry standard. Ford and GM both committed to move to J2807 some time ago; Ford reneged on prior commitments, and GM quickly followed suit.

Still curious why the 6.4 hemi 3500 can only tow 16,400 lbs. I've towed that much behind my old 05 1500 hemi on a fifth wheel a few times. It handled it surprisingly well. Yes I was watching for every cop to pull me over, but they all went by without a second look.

I can't wait for the chart to come out so I can see what a 2015 that is comparable to my truck (3.21, 8 speed, Hemi, Lone Star, QC) is rated for. Then I'll finally have an idea what my truck is really capable of.
