So over the past month or two, I noticed my truck has been burning oil. How much I haven't really had the time to pay attention to with my busy schedule and all, I just add and go and forget to write down sometimes. However, I have been noticing sometimes when I start my truck, a thick blue cloud of oil smoke will come out the exhaust. The other night I let my truck idle for about 45 minutes while I was installing somethings on the interior and I noticed the air started to smell like oil after about 20 minutes of idling or so... Also, I don't know if this is related, but my truck sometimes rough idles. It normally sits at 600 rpm's but rarely it will start to rough idle between 4 and 900. It has only done it 3 or 4 times on me and hasn't done so for about a month nd a half.

My truck just broke 101k miles and is a 03. Never really dealt with a burning oil situation and it seems way to soon for my engine to need an over haul... what do you guys think?

I think you have a valve guide seal leaking. Oil that lubricates the valve is seeping in to the combustion chamber while it sits overnight. Not a huge OMG issue, but it won't fix itself. Unfortunately, it is quite a costly and time consuming repair unless you know a few tricks and can do it yourself.
