maybe you should have bought a 2500 model, but it is too late for that
they don't have it
maybe drive in town without using the top gear
that is what i do most of the time
i just put it in 5th or 4th gear when i am not doing highways speeds
i believe i get better gas mleage in town that way
If you set your gear selector to '5', this defeats the MDS. It will come back on each time you shift out of 'D', however.
I only find the MDS annoying at lower speeds in my neighborhood. Shifting into '5' cures that. At highway speeds, I find the MDS quite acceptable, along with the improved MPG.
