anybody running 285/75R17 or similar?
Do they rub?

i have a 2012 Ram Crew Cab 4x4 with levelling kit. Ive added a canopy and now my stock wheels/tires look really small. Can i fit 285/75R17 or 285/70r17
tires?
cheers

I'm running 295 75R 17 Nittos on my 2011 no rubbing. Just a leveling kit.
Is this on a ram 1500 Crew Cab? Wow, i bet they look great. I would love to see a pic if you have any.

So it sounds like i can order the 285/75r17 with no concerns.

Thanks for your help.

Either size will fit no problem, especially with the leveling kit.
Greta truck, they look really good. It looks like a real truck with those tires on. Did you have to recalibrate your speedo or transmission?

What size are your rims? 17x7?
What is the offset? +25mm?
Do the tires stick out of the wheel wells?

Your pic has made me want ot go for the larger 295/75r17 but i dont want them to stick out and throw up a lot of crap along the side of the truck.

cheers

Thanks. Rims are just whatever the stock size are. Offset ??
I've since put the factory molded mudflaps on and splatter isn't too bad.
And I did not recalibrate speedo or trans.
I don't have any pics as clear as those handy, but I'm running 285/70R17s on my 2WD 3rd gen with no rubbing, so they should clear no problem on 4x4.

Leveling kit on a 2WD?
Yeah...it's detachable too...when installed my truck is level...when detached it's higher in the back...some folks call it a trailer.
Thanks. Rims are just whatever the stock size are. Offset ??

Outfitr, That looks awesome! I'm glad to see someone with big tires on the stock 17's. I have the same wheel, which is 7" wide, but I've been worried about putting bigger tires on it like that because on Nitto's website it says the minimum approved rim width is 7.5" for that tire (I'm assuming that's the Trail Grappler). Have you had any uneven wear down the middle of the tread? Wouldn't think half an inch would make much of a difference, but you never know.
Please can you put more pics ... i have the same truck and i think to put the same tire on it.

Thx
