Hey guys, not sure if this really belongs in the performance section but not sure where else to ask.

i've always had great luck with NGK plugs, to the point where i felt quite a bit a diff in throttle response in several of my past chrysler vehicles. I put a set in my dads 06 hemi charger and he seemed to like them also.

anyone ever used just the regular NGK's and been happy over a stock plug?
i never liked champion, and i dont buy into the E3 claims..had decent luck with bosche, but again really fond of the NGK's
i just turned 35,000 so i'm probably due.
looking at these

If you go to your local dealership and buy plugs for your HEMI from the parts guy and open the box sometimes they will be Champion ..sometimes NGK.. both are used by Chrysler in the HEMI. I had both in my 08 Ram and could not see any performance gain.. just had the plugs chaned by the dealership in my wife's 08 Charger and they put in NGK (that was what was in the MOPAR box) so far I cannot tell any difference from the Champions they took out of her car

For 100k i used oem champions and they were great. Last March i switched over to NGK 4306 when i added more mods and they are responding very nice.

I just replaced my stock Champion plugs with NGK 5306's. It seems these are the plugs most people on the forum recommend. I personally didn't really notice a performance difference between the two plugs but I have never been a fan of Champion plugs either...so it was NGK for me!

The Champions that the dealer carries are HEMI engine specific, they are not just a run of the mill Champion plug
NGK plugs are a good brand & i am sure they are also made to work with the Chrysler HEMI

Do not use the iridium spark plugs, HEMI engines don't like them

Stock plugs i believe are
Champion REC14MCC4 plugs
NGK LZFR5C-11

thanks guys, i think the G power may be a bump up from the V power. they're not iridium or anything. hopefully i see a slight bump in mileage. thats all i'm after with gas prices the way they are. same reason i threw a diablo and CAI on the truck, exhaust is next...nice to have a vehicle that actually picks up mileage with performance gains! the exact opposite of the big carbed racecars i drive on the weekends! i was able to milk this rig up to 25 mpg with a tail wind on the HWY!

well....bought those NGK's. i'm 3 cylinders through the 8...started at number 7, then 5, then 3..and all i can say is wow. you can't even see #7. the booster is huge in these things. what a cut up mess i am after finally losing daylight and pulling the truck back in the garage. i'll finish it tomorrow. the charger i did was a cake walk compared to this thing. what a pain
