Hi guys, I did not get the USB with my Ram, but I have the "premium" Alpine non Nav deck. I was looking through the manual to get the garage doors programmed, and wound up in the Electronics section. They showed that the USB port is in the glove box, and for S&G I looked. I found a dummy plug, and after further inspection discovered wiring to said dummy plug. Pics below. Is there a cheap part numbe for us to "add" the usb port and it work properly if we want?

My USB in that location is inside on the bottom left. I don't know what that plug is.

I think that is suppose to be where the pin switch is located for the glove box light.

My USB is lower, and to the back of the glove box....same side.

That plug is for the glove box light. The USB plug is located in the back of the glove box. You should see it if you have it.

Someone my chime in here and tell you what option you actually need for that plug to work.

I posted this in a different thread too about USB cables - but I took out the lower glove box and the USB cable is in there, taped up top. Discovered that on another forum. So for now I have Iphone plugged in and can just run the cable to the center console or leave in g-box. I have the PN for the new glove box with USB cutout/mount so for 30 bucks I will order that one day I suppose.
