Would anybody here happen to know what the part number is or where I could find it for the auxiliary switches that go in the spot where it says ram in thd console. I want to add some rear lighting and thats probably the best way to go. thanks

I don't know if they have one, (if you've seen it then I guess they do) I've never seen one. This is a pic of my truck, I have almost every button you can have except the jake brake (diesel option only). Maybe you could order the power outlet button and wire it to work for your lights in the bed??? Sorry I couldn't help more. maybe check this site out...

I had my dash apart yesterday. They are not individual switches, it an entire enclosed switch bank. One connector with x amount of pins. The dealer told me they are not switches. They just send a signal to a modual. Their is an uplifter switch for the 2500-3500 I have seen that fit where my heated and cooled seats switches are at. My dealer told me that those would not work for any of my needs.

Scapegoat, if you don't have a 4X4, then you may be able to use the little pocket to the left of the heater controls, similar to what i did

I did a little research on this and apparently its a major pain in the ass to get those AUX switches to work on a 1500. Basically its not worth the effort because of how they work.

Surprisingly I found way more information on custom switch setups on jeep forums, there's not much info here that I've found. I decided on buying some ARB switches and a switch bezel and I will either have a custom mounting plate over one of the two storage holes on the center console.

You mean something like this? Unfortunately this is as far as I got. I need a switch diagram to finish the project.

I can never seem to remember where I store the part number for this switch panel, but it comes standard on the 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Rams. If anyone's interested I can keep digging. It ran around $90 shipped from mopar-wholesale.com

It's part #5164912AC and u'll need the pigtail connection for it that plugs in on the back as well! I have been looking into this for awhile now! Muscle does it have individual wires on the backside of each switch?????
It has been over 2 years since i made the auxiliary switch box
If i remember right i went to a electronics surplus store & bought a plastic box, it is like a small light switch box that goes into a building, & i bought the piece of flat plastic, trimmed it down to size, drilled holes to line up with the switch box screw holes & then used a dremel tool on the plate for the 2 switches, i believe the inner box is velcrod in & the face plate keeps it from moving

I think likely radio shack would carry everything that i used, maybe even the velcro
I just rather hunt through a surplus shop & pay less :)

Yeah, I have the pigtail connection as well, but that didn't come prewired so I gotta do that too.

Here's what the back of the switch looks like:

Interesting, let me know if u get it working!
Subscribed, I'd like to have the extra switches as well, mainly just as I'll be adding fog lights, but I suppose I could add it using the factory switch as well, or just splice into the headlight harness and have them on with the lights.
how did you put in those switches looks kool
Working on an easy pretty prefab solution to this. Ironing out the details and will post the results when i get all the parts in.

Just got the heated seat kit for Xmas and would love to somehow use this switch bank for the factory look, don't really like the switches that come with the kit. Any progress on building an interface for this ? I am subscribing to this thread.
Does anyone have the part number for the pigtail? I am seriously considering adding this to my new truck. The wiring isn't a big deal and I will happily share with the group if I tackle the project.

I look forward to seeing your finished project. So I'm subscribed:smileup:
i also really want to add some aux switches for some bed lights and possibly some other stuff. I like the idea of using factory switch panels to keep everything clean looking. when ever someone figures out how to do this they should make a step by step install and explain how to wire everything!! would be very appreciated!!

I did some Google searching and found a possible part number for the wiring harness with pigtails. It is 801202LG, can anyone confirm this number and perhaps have a picture ?
