Hey all, orderd a AVS bug deflector from Auto anything and it came in today.
It is the one that is molded around the hood scoop. I liked the way it looked on a Ram online. When I opened the box I was suprised it attaches all the way around with 3M tape  I was thinking it would be screwed on from under the hood.

Question would you put this on your truck seeing it is more permanant than say one that attaches with screws? Thanks for your opinion and feedback!

^^^^^^ what they said.

I agree. I am not real fond of the tape on mods

I just purchased that exact mod and the seamless window vents. Installed and think they look great. Not too worried about them coming off or having to remove them.

Just a matter of personal opinion.

yep i also have this and the seamless, they go good together. If you ever wanted to remove it, just get an eraser wheel and some floss.

Don't forget many of our badges are affixed with tape and we get them off but not without effort! But anyone interested in a bolt on deflector I have the chrome one shown here on my truck. Removed after barely one month on the truck - attaches with 4 screws under the hood - Its like brand new and I'll let it go for any reasonable offer - keep in mind shipping may be expensive cause of its size...

Just installed an EGR superguard on my 2011 black pearl crew cab. Four screws and two clips (10 minutes) and it looks great. Kinda disappears against the black truck but very happy with the bug deflecter and the install. Hope it helps.

Well I have to eat my words a little. After about 100 miles into our trip to Orlando (rain at 75MPH for about 50 miles) the drivers side of our seamless shield started to flap in the wind. Could not re-apply so just pulled it the rest of the way off.

No damage, and down a hundred bucks. Could have been worse.

I also have the EGR one. Watch out when you or someone else is closing your hood that they dont push on the plastic but rather behind it on the hood. One of my plastic anchors that get pushed into the bottom of the hood broke. I ended up using a drywall anchor that i trimmed to fit. Seems to hold just as well.

I have the AVS bug deflector and in channel rain guards, both are excellent and purchased from autoanything.
My deflector uses screws, there is no tape, not sure I would like the tape version. For peace of mind reasons, would think it would blow away eventually...
