Anyone have the safety recall firmware update done to correct the cruise control issue and have any problems after the update? I seem to have lost the backup camera grid lines and can not get them back. The check box is selected under settings for the grid lines. If I try to remove the check, it comes back on its own after a second or two, I can't turn it off let alone have the grid lines display. I have searched and read some information where people have disconnected their battery for 20 minutes to reset the computer but that didn't seem to work as well as others who suggested it was a hardware issue. I have to stop by the dealer later this week to see what they have to say but appreciate any feed back in the meantime...

I also lost my grid lines after the last update but was able to turn them back on through settings.

Thanks. I have tried several times to no success. I have Max Care so I believe this is covered. Should be anyway seeing it started after the update. Any Dodge Customer Care reps have a suggestion?

Hi ponderosaqtr,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the grid lines when using your reverse camera. Have you had the opportunity to take your vehicle to the dealer?

Lamar,

I visited the dealer yesterday where they are opening a Star report/case. I will be touching base with the dealer again next week for next steps. Shop tech did review and acknowledged the issue.

Update

Lamar,


I do not have the correct thread count to send a PM through this forum. I contacted the dealer on 8/24 who then opened a Star Case. I checked back today, 8/29 and the dealer had not heard back yet on the case. How long does this process take and are there any other avenues to try?

So I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Express. I took this in this past Monday to get the recalls taken care of. Three of them were FLASH recalls. One was for the cruise control, one was for the issue they were having with the truck possibly being put into gear without your foot on the brake. When I got the truck back the grid lines in my rear view camera are gone. There is no setting anywhere that I have found. THe dealer said, "I've never seen a rear view camera in the mirror before". REALLY!! Any fix for this?
