I am happy with the stock ride; compared to my last truck ('11 Dakota). However, if aftermarket would be a significant improvement, I'd do it, esp when it comes time to replace. What advantages does leveling have? How much does it negatively affect MPG? What recommendations for monotube?
basic question - stock vs aftermarket shocks
For a stock truck, what would be the advantages of going with an aftermarket shock vs stock? I do not tow or off road. Sometimes load the bed with several hundred pounds of stuff. If aftermarket, any suggestions? TIA.

Dumb question, but... how much difference in ride between the different brands? If I just want to improve ride and have no off-road or larger wheels in mind, could you rank the brands you suggested? TIA
