What's the best way to check for a intake manifold leak? I have a vibration on startup and at idle. Also should I check spark plugs and coil packs? What else should I check or look at that would cause that? I got 77k miles on my 14 ram 1500.

Back in the 70's I would spray some carb cleaner at the base of the intake manifold with the tube to direct the spray and listen for the engine to change rpm or sound.

Apply some propane to the area at which you suspect the leak.
When you hit the right spot the engine will suddenly start to run smooth as silk.

NOTE:
Common sense is required on this, i.e. do it outside, not in a closed garage.
Dont flood the entire engine bay with propane, it takes very little to work.
No, you dont lite the torch.
No, your not going to blow up.
If this concept frightens you, then dont do it, but it does work and it's quick & clean, no mess.

Good Luck :smiley_thumbs_up:
