After some research I think I've figured out the lift in going to put on my truck. However I'm now shopping for wheels and tires. I'm finding mixed reviews on about every tire out there. What do you guys think is the best wearing tire as far as mileage is concerned? I'm looking in the 35 inch range on 20 inch wheels. Thank for the help.

^^^^ Been reading about people having issues with the BFGs after 20k, going out of round, cant balance etc, no idea if its true. But the biggest part you left out is are you wanting a AT, MT tire etc?? Basically all the nittos will give you that milage aslong as you rotate them and stay on top of your alignment etc, also there sister company toyo
I really like the look of MT tires but I don't plan on going off road except when necessary. So I guess AT tires would be the way to go.

One of the problems I've been reading about is that the lift combination I want to do is that I'll have to run spacers up front to clear everything with the BF Goodrich tires (325/60) bc they don't make a high flotation 35 inch for 20s.

I found alot of mixed reviews when buying my tires last september... But what alot of the negative views dont tell is their driving style, "ya I only got 20,000 miles out of them" what he didnt write is that he was burning out at the costco parking hoods up club every sunday....... if all the bad reviews are consistent enough with each then I would listen to them, if its just a bunch of people saying these tires suck for no given reason I would pay a whole lot of attention
I agree with that. I don't do but nuts anymore. Damn tires cost too much.

Off topic but I have another question for you gentlemen. I called my dealership today and the service dept said the lift has to be installed my them and it has to be a mopar part or it will void the warranty. Then I called the Internet sales guy and he said as long as I stay under 2.5 I'll be good. Right now I wanna do a level and 1.25 body lift. Internet guy said I'll be fine. However I'm a little worried about not getting serviced if something breaks. Your thoughts and experiences are appreciated.

A lot of people will quote the Maggnuson/Moss (spelling?) warranty act, which basically says that the dealer has to prove an aftermarket part caused a failure. However, dealers have a lot of say in what is and what isn't covered. You have some dealers selling new trucks with full suspension lifts and superchargers and some that threaten to void your warranty if you go up one tire size. When I purchased my Wrangler, my dealer agreed to buy and install my lift kit as part of the deal as well as buy back my OEM tires/wheels so I could install larger aftermarket items. Best advise is to ask YOUR dealer. If you don't like the answer, tell them you are going to take your business elsewhere.
But the whole idea of the lift has to be a Mopar part and they have to install it is complete BS. If that was true dealers could void your warranty if you do your own oil change and use a Puralator or K&N oil filte!

Thanks for the reply. I was satisfied with the answer from the internet guy I talked to, but not the service dept. Im just confused on who to believe at this point. Seems theres somone not telling the truth.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll be lifting as soon as I figure this warranty bs out.

Sorry to pile on my own thread here, but I called a different dealership's service department today and explained my plan (level kit, plus 1.25 body, and 35s). He said I said I should be ok on my warranty. So we'll see if I ever have a blown rear end or tranny what they say. LOL
