So I am taking the plunge and adding the Bilstein 5100's and bigger tires courtesy of the BF Goodrich All terrain T/A KO at 285/65/R20. The tire measures out as roughly as roughly 34 1/2" compared to the stocker at 33". I am sure they weigh more as well. I will be reusing the stock rims.
So with the above information and your experiences, how badly will my fuel economy suffer with the bigger tires?

You're gonna take a hit. Especially around town. Not so much on the highway. That's life. If you are just doing it for a look and can't afford to take the hit I strongly suggest you don't do it. If you are going to off road then who cares?

The truck will be off road very rarely if at all. I can live with the hit I take on mpg's, just trying to get an idea of how bad it will be. I have been pulling about 20 mpg's on my 90% highway commute. Just wondering where I will end up.

From what I've been told and from the data I've seen around here, you can expect a 2-3 MPG loss..... the other option is to add a tuner as well and you'll pick up some extra HP and Torque- most guys seem to believe they are staying at their MGP averages they had before switching to bigger tires as well.

My suggestion would be to send an email to Bully's Performance ( a site sponsor) and they will most certainly take care of all your questions and get you great pricing.

Those tires weigh 63lbs and are 34.7" according to their website. I wasnt able to find the weight of the SR-A's. but I imagine at least 20lbs lighter. that will affect your performance the most.
I have 295/65/20 that weight 63lbs and did notice a 1 mpg drop so far. I do run the 93 diablo tune.

Got a question for ya I got the same wheels you have and was thinking about going 33x12.5x20 will I have any issues I have a 2.5" leveling kit on it now. I just want some more rubber under the truck plus I like the aggressive look?

You will need a minimum of 0 offset. You'll be good to go.

I am running Nitto Trail Grapplers 35x12.5 on 20"Black Rhino Sidewinders, I went from 14.2 City to 10.9....I reset every fillup, my driving has not changed, nor my commute, only wheels/tires/level.

Also, I am only leveled, 2.1" set on Bilstein 5100 adjustables upfront, nothin in the rear. I have 0 Offset 20s, and I have ZERO Rub at any point in my turn to include full lock and in 4wd.

Trail grapplers are heavy, and roll hard. BF A/T's should be better. I went from 44lbs per tire to 67.24lbs per tire. LT285/70/17 Trails. You can feel the weight, and I have not adjusted for tire diameter yet, but it's hard on gas now for sure. Most A/T tires fall in the 55lb range for my size, and thats what I hope I can find when I change them out. Maybe the new A/T 2's.
