Hi all. I have read a few threads on removing blackout tape and feel inclined to do it. However, I have also read the warnings from site admin about performing mods at your own risk. I have a few questions: 1. Had anyone had negative results from this mod like paint not matched underneath or scratches? 2. Can I remove it from the rear sliding window or is it a necessary component? 3. Will it cause any structural water/moisture infiltration if I remove it? Just don't want to screw my truck up. Thanks!

Thanks Shawn. Yeah, the truck is a year old, and while the paint is all still new looking, I don't want to remove it and have the paint not match in that area. I think I'm gonna do it now before the truck gets any older.

Good advice Kohldad! Looks like I might be waiting until winter is over to do this then... Noticed you have the 3500 with a 6.4, is it a dually? I'll bet it's a sweet truck! I like my gasser 2500 just fine with the 5.7, I'm sure the 6.4 is even nicer.
