I been looking around i want to do some where from 3 - 6 inch lift and noticed the body lifts are cheaper but whats the diff? its 2wd daily driver so wont be driven off road but wanna get off the ground a bit more, do plan on in the future getting 18 inch rims with some good all terrain tires

99 dodge ram 1500 sport 2wd standard cab

Fair warning, you're right about the body lift kits being cheaper. But, unless you and some friends can tackle it yourself expect about a $500 flat rate installation fee from most reputable installers.

On top of that you may want to also consider buying the fender flaps to hide the hideous gap between the body and frame that will show afterward.

yea i'll do it myself with some help, never though of the gaps, never noticed them neither looked at the truck the other day with 5 inch suspension and 4 inch body lift

I didn't get them with my old truck...ya think it's noticeable? :i_rolleyes:

ah yea i see what your saying, think i'll end up waiting and do a suspension lift
