So when I first start my truck I press down on the brake pedal and push the start button. I get a “bump” feeling coming from the pedal. It’s been this way since I bought it but don’t think it’s normal. Any thoughts!

Do you mean the Booster Brake instead of the PS Pump ?

No. Your truck should be a hydroboost set up. There is no vacuum booster. Your power brake assist is hydraulic and comes from the power steering pump.
My truck does it as well.

My '18 does this. Dealers say its completely normal and a function of the hydroboost setup. What I find unique is if you remote start the vehicle, you don't have to press to the brake pedal to get it to "run" mode.
