Love the 318. See lots of guys are saying just go 360. I don't wanna go that way because it's a low mileage motor. I have done a few things to it already. So I'm wondering about a cam and maybe headers. Has anyone tried this. And what parts you went with. And did it work without Re doing to much on the heads. Or just keep saving money.

Ok will. Do. I do live in Canada so looks like it's going like a 4000 dollar part. Guess I gotta work harder. Prochargers are just about 7000 here.

Oh yeah, those pro chargers are nice and all but if you don't want more than 650RWHP then the torque storm is fine. It's what I'm going to use to round out my top end.

I do recommend getting an intercooler as that kit relies on meth injection to prevent detonation.

Good luck!

So found a blower from a Chevy colbalt is there anyway to make that work? Still on a budget but guy wants 200 for it. That's cheeeeeep. But will the computer handle it all that stuff.

It's useless on an engine the size of yours, will not be able to flow anywhere near enough air.

Stock heads will support 400hp at 6,000rpm in naturally aspirated form. Can easily hit that with cam/intake/exhaust mods, and computer tuning.

Looked into that as well but will a lower street cam make a big enough difference for cost. And mainly finding some one that can tune a computer. Or do I need to upgrade that as well.

Just tune over your current one, it is correct that the engine will make 400 with stock heads BUT it will have to be a serously aggressive cam.

A 318 Magnum will kick out 400hp at 6K with a carb and a cam of .480 lift on the cam. Not much more to it with MPI and computer, and do you really think you'll just bolt on a blower and NOT need to re-tune the computer to achieve the numbers you're tossing around? Hey, do what you want.

Ok so on the order list is. xtreme energy series cam 20-221-3.* The rpm range of this cam is 1000 -5200. Also I'm getting the k kit from comp cams K20-221-3 . Guy said don't need a computer tune for this. But if any one is following this feed back would be great. Good way to go?
Thanks again.

Ok update. Parts still in route. Spent about 6 hours cutting and grinding and polishing the throttle body. Only to find out there are apparently 2 different throttle hook ups. So something to watch before picking one out of the junk yard. Ya that was stupid. But good practice I guess.
