I am new here and this is first post. I have just taken my 2012 Express in for the 16,000 look at with a few minor things for them to inspect and one being that the AC was not very cold was told that refrigerant was low but found no leaks now to the problem. I now notice a electrical sounding motor whine coming from underneath the truck some where I can't seem to nail it down. When I turn off the engine it continues to spin down for a while after the engine has stopped. I am sure it is not coming from the AC compressor because it continues to cycle as it should.

Perhaps you could crawl under before the noise stops and find the culprit.

Does your truck have an electric fan? (Mine is mechanical old-style, but many have electric fans.)
It's possible your AC problem was inadequate cooling due to elect. fan not running (why you never noticed before) and they fixed that (loose connection, etc.) and now you hear it running during/after shutdown.

A/C Condenser Fan

I finally stuck my head up by the fan clutch and saw that there is a second electric fan up closer to the radiator for the A/C condenser. Perhaps it just wasn’t working before I took it in to have the A/C looked at or I wasn’t running the air that much because the outside temp was still cool. It still seems to make a lot of noise when it is running. I’ll be taking the truck back to have it checked again because it still is not as cool as it should be.
