I was wondering if anyone here has bypassed their stock cat, im looking for some cheap upgrades and figured it might be worth a shot. (already have a CAI) Even if there was no power increase is there a negative impact on low end power?

the easiest way i've found to bypass the cat is to cut one side out, bust the catalyst out, and weld it shut. it wont pass emissions but it still looks legal from under the truck.

You may throw a code if you don't get an O2 simulator. I bypassed the cat on both of my old 5.9's. First time i didn't do the O2 sim and threw codes (it was a DIY job). 2nd time I had my exhaust guy do it and paid to have him put an sim on it and no problems at all. Driving it home I couldn't believe the difference it made! I was impressed.
To answer your other question, I didn't notice any low end loss at all on either truck.
