I have had ongoing problem. Every six months, my camahaft sensor goes bad, and engine runs very rough. I replace the sensor, and it's fine...for about six months, then it starts happening again. Goodyear is so tired of replacing the sensor they've told me to basically go away. What could be the underlying cause, that's making the sensors fail after a few months??? Help! It's a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, 6 cyl

I had the same problem with my 03 4.7. After 3 sensors in a year I bought one from the dealer and not Advance auto parts. 2 years later and she's doing fine.
