The last time I was at dealer for an oil change, I asked about any new flashes my truck should have.
My complaint was the throttle pedal vibration many of us have.
I have complained about this since I got the truck.
Of course, they don't feel it on a test drive.
The service manager gets a new Ram to drive several times a year and says they all do it and it's normal.
Anyway, he said sometimes a new flash has given negative results.
He told me that a flash for drivability may make mileage worse.
Has this happened to anyone?

I've had three different flashes done to correct drivability, the middle one was crap! Gas mileage went in the dumper the MDS shudder was horrific. They did another flash and instantly I had my Ram back. So to answer your question.... hell yes you can get a bad flash :D

I also have had 3 flashes for drive ability. Like others the 2nd one was crap. This newest one was much better. My gas mileage shot up from 12 to 16.9 on the expressway. I am happy again. When I bought it I was getting 16 on the expressway.

Im stuck right now with my crappy "better driveability" flash. I went ro 22mph at 65 to about 17 and the truck is just sluggish everywhere. Im waiting till I have another problem before I go in and complain though. The dealer here in SoCal hassles me non stop about my headers and my electrical upgrades and its almost worth finsing a new dealer to go to for me.
