ordered 2015 longhorn 2500 with fifth wheel prep
and cargo view camera when you order this option it places Parkview camera up in rear view mirror and cargo view goes to radio display screen
has anybody seen them working and is there a way to put park view image back in the main display

thanks

I would hope so, but then Fiat/Chrysler does many things backwards lately

They want you to see the 5th wheel hook up really clear
With the 2500 & 3500 models, they tend to forget that you might actually want to see when you are backing up to a regular trailer

At least you thought to get the cargo view camera. I had a 2013 buy back and didn't want to delay the 2014 changing anything. Ordered mid august and didn't get until dec 27th 2013. And now am told they can't add a cargo camera. Sure doesn't make sense to me why... Guess I'll hook a camera to my computer, run it through the back slider and Velcro it. Might give me a view while I turn also, kissed the cab already and THAT will make ya shy in turns... From your 2006 you'll like that new 15

I agree you should just be able to switch the view but there's no way to change it...............:4-dontknow:

someone adventurous could check out the electrical pins
open the console that holds the radio, i believe that all you need for that is a plastic panel tool from the parts store, unless you have a 115 VAC outlet, then you would have a single screw
4 screws hold in the radio itself
usually the center plug in the back of the radio is for the camera

The rear view mirror connectors may be more difficult :4-dontknow:

Has there been any progress with the park view camera vs the cargo camera inputs? I have a 2014 2500 and for the most part I would rather have the park view on the 8.4 instead of the mirror. has anyone successfully swapped them?

I have both also and find it kind of hard to see in the little rear view mirror screen. I love the cargo camera, but don't really use it much other, than to watch in a parking lot before I back out. I'm glad I got both but I thought you could have either on the 8.4 screen but I guess not.

I've been told it's not just a software issue since the rev cam video only goes to the mirror. You would have to also reroute the rev cam to the Uconnect. There should be two additional inputs available on the back of the Uconnect IIRC. Customtronix supposedly has something in the works.

I have looked at a bunch of them intact I am gonna call one company tomorrow about theres. I wanna do the same plus unlock in motion address entry
Been researching the same thing, another Cummins website has members installing the Customtronix silver or bronze package which apparently lets you see both in the main screen. No first hand experience yet as I wait for my truck to arrive but worth a google search.

I've spoken directly with Magnus from Customtronix. There is no way to swap the factory cargo camera and revcam display (rearview mirror) with software only. You can add separate cameras into the UConnect without much problem though, hence their selling of the front grill cam, cargo cam, etc.

They did tell me they were looking into a workaround.
