for all you guys that have that annoying creaking and noise out of the console, i have the fix. after taking to the dealership twice only to be unsatisfied that it wasnt fixed or worse. i took it into my own hands, i went to lowes and bought 1/8 inch thick pipe wrap. i disassembled my entire console and found what the dealer attempted to fix which the tried to put double sided 3M tape under the chrome trim piece. i was taking the fix further than their lazy ass's. i cut the pipe wrap into small strips and squares and put it in between everything that touched. when i put back together i pressed on the console and no creaks or cracks. i took it down the roughest roads in my city and i came to the conclusion that i solved the problem with about 4 bucks of pipe insulation wrap and 1.5 hours of my time. i might be putting some of this stuff in my door panels next

It's not extremely hard to take it apart completely. Just be cautious when prying the cheap plastic apart. You will need to take the shift handle off. There are screws in the cupholders and trays.

I'd also love to see some more info on this.

Mine doesn't creak, but it is at the dealers right now to fix the annoying click when you push the brake pedal.

I know there is a solenoid/lockout that moves when you push the brake pedal to allow you to shift the transmission into gear, but on mine, when you 1st start the truck, the click can be heard, but not too bad.

BUT, after you drive it around some, the click becomes much more noticable, I'd say 1/2 as loud as the doors locking and unlocking. it can also be felt if you are touching the console when it does it.

I know they are gonna say it's normal, but it isn't, and I'm not sure what to do to fix it.
