First off, what a great forum!! I am a true truck enthusiast and have finally made my way back to my beloved dodge. Now to my question: I have an 04 2wd 5.7l with a check engine light on. I had the codes read which gave me: p0137 p0152 p0157 p0158 which are all 4 o2 codes. I had the dealership which was not a dodge dealership take a look and they told me all sensors had the correct voltage and functioning properly. Any help would be great!!!
Well according to THIS site, one possible problem could be a bad catalytic converter. Now I am not just saying this is the problem. I just noted a possible cause based on a pattern i noted while reading through the trouble shooting for each code. You could also be running rich/lean causing the MIL. I would ensure the cat is operating properly by a simple test Eric the Car Guy EricTheCarGuy on youtube shows. Here is a test TEST you can try on the 02 sensor, like he said its not always the most relieable, but it will give you a good idea atleast if it is working.
Truck has 76,000 miles. The dealership said it could possibly b a PCM. I will check the catalytic converters or change the out when I do the exhaust this summer. Anyone heard of a bad PCM. Also, I found plenty on eBay, but would those need flashed by a dodge dealership?
