I have a 2017 Ram 1500 and my check engine light is on, also when my check engine light came on my ECO light stopped coming on no matter what speed I am going. I brought the truck to autozone and had a diagnostic put on it. The report said that my gas cap is not tight, I tightened the gas cap but the engine light won’t turn off and my ECO mode is still not working. I don’t feel and vibration or difference in my fuel mileage. Has anyone encountered this???

Somewhere in this forum, I read about someone who had this and it was a defective or damaged seal around the fuel filler neck, where the gas-cap seals up.

The CEL is the reason your MDS won't engage and the Eco light won't come on.

You could need a new gas cap, you could just need an o-ring. You could have a vent problem. Figure out what's wrong with your evap system and your issue(s) (its really just one issue) will be gone
