Hi all, new member here,

I bought a 2014 EcoDiesel on March 1st and I still havn't received it yet. I'm wondering if anyone else is going through this incredibly long wait time? I was told 4-6 weeks at the time of signing. It has been 16 weeks and counting!

The dealer has been giving me delivery dates but they keep changing.
I wrote Chrysler and they say they cannot guaranteed delivery dates.
Chrysler is blaming rail car shortages.

I could have pushed my truck from the factory to my door and back by now.

I'm reminded every day because I was so excited when I bought it that I told everyone I know. Now they say "Didn't you buy a truck? .. That was a long time ago!"

I love my Rams ... best trucks out there!

10 weeks has been the normal delivery times for places like New York State & California
Vehicles crossing the Border to the North take a bit longer

Do check out that post above, it will give you a better idea of delivery times
It is the best place to get that kind of information

After 18 and a half weeks, I was told my truck was damage during shipping and can not be sold as new. Dealer is trying to put me into something else. What a waste of time.

Well, the dealer pulled through and so did chrysler. I got what I think to be a better truck at less than I was going to pay .. plus chrysler coughed up $1000 in mopar accessories. I still maintained the same finance rate and discounts I got back in march.

I ended up with a 2014 Tradesman 4x4 reg cab long box ecodiesel

active grill shutters
20" sport rims and tires (I kept the 18" steel rims and tires)
spray in bedliner
upgraded 8 speed tranny (more robust than reg 1500's)

2 jugs of DEF
10 oil changes and rotation

$36K CDN before FDI and taxes

I was told by a friend who works at WTAP, about 3 months ago, that they were 30,000 units behind orders. Great to hear as a Mopar fan. But when that happens, management tends to make poor decisions that affect quality. My brothers can "flag" vehicles with issues, but management can, and do waive them to make the numbers.

A dealership recently told a customer that their Factory Ordered Ram had to go back to the Factory for a new engine

Someone in the know basically called BS
It was sent to a repair shop for some damage

Another customer was told that their vehicle was delayed because of an issue with a Bad Batch of shock absorbers

Question, since I plan on ordering to my specs on my next truck...this may sound stupid and I probably know the answer but...you don't pay anything until you take delivery of the truck, correct? I figure not...

Some dealers require a deposit for an order, I've seen $500 and $1000 from most posters. Mine charged a $1000 refundable deposit to place the order. And some dealers don't ask for anything upfront or they know the buyer and so waive their usual fee.

You will be waiting until August 8th to Factory Order the 2015 Ram 1500
