CLUNK noise in front end ??????

Need your help guys !!!
My 2015 has developed a klunk noise in the left front end. I hear and feel it when turning the wheel at low speeds. Like turning on a street, or turning on rough terrain. They have loosened the cab bolts and re torqued them. That's not it !! They say everything looks and feels tight under the truck. Well something is definitely not right. Have any of you had this problem ?? Any ideas ??
Thanks, Tom

It sounds like you might have a worn bushing or ball joint. Check the lug nuts to be sure they are tight.
They loosened cab bolts for a front end clunk?
Well, I'd be going to a new repair shop.
Load the front end and have it checked.

Better yet, ask for an alignment check...they should find it then...LOL.

There were some threads where guys had a clunk that no one could find. Turned out the factory hadn't torqued the cab boots down properly.
I have a 2016 and had a popping/bump feel on some turns. Suddenly my alignment was way off and firestone said it was both lower ball joints, one worse then the other. Dealer replaced both control arms and it's been find ever since.
I felt a light "popping noise" from front drivers side when turning my wheel 75-100 % rotation. I only experienced this after putting a levelling kit in. Dealer wasnt able to replicate the noise until the 3rd booking. He broke down my front end greased it. Rehung it. Said he then dropped it to the floor let is sit and then raised it and retprqued everything. For the most part the noise has gone. I thought i may have felt/heard it a few more times. They could not pin point the issue. They went so far as to replace a strut assembely. A buddy had a similar issue. Got fed up with the dealership snd bought a chassis ear and located it himself.
I've been noticing a popping noise from my driver side axle of '15 1500 as well, but mine only pops when I drive over a pothole, between 50 and 80Mph. I haven't leveled my front end or anything.

I'd be curious to learn What caused the popping noise on your truck, Mulveyman.
I had this also when turning and going over a small bump at work. it seems to have gone away when I had it undercoated. I guess gobs of undercoating helps keep things in place
The last couple of weeks I have heard my noise more in cooler temps. The other day, I got in the truck and as I positioned myself on the seat, I heard the clunk noise. I rocked myself side to side and heard the noise.
Went back to the dealer and had him listen. He said he had read a bulletin about loose center dash supports. Well, that's what it was. He told me the bolt was loose on the left side.
Just to let you guys know, you will hear this clunk noise and feel it in the steering wheel. Sounds and feels like something is loose in the front end.
A related issue... Maybe?

My 2012 1500 has some play in the steering, and kind of shakes and clunks when going slowly over bumps. (like slowly through a field, or slowly over washboard). Any idea what this is?

This sounds like what I got! You wouldn't happen to have more information on that - bulletin number or location of support?

Found it - TSB 23-001-15 - this fixed my problem too. It really does sound/feel like something it popping or loose in the steering/front suspension! I've been trying to hunt this down for months - thanks for posting Mulveyman!

Do you happen to have the bulletin number? I’m having a similar noise.
Mine ended up being the scissor jack and lug wrench under the passenger side seat. They must have come loose over time the lug wrench is just velcroed to the jack and the jack is held by one wing screw. I removed the jack and wrench from under the seat and alazakam no more clunking noise from the passenger side front end.
Mines Wes the fender well bumping against the mount on the driver side I hunted it down for weeks cause I kept taking it to the shop for them to tell me nothing was wrong with it found that just looking pushed it back and it resolved the problem
