Getting a clunk or knock sound, when turning wheel. Dealership says rear calipers are ripped up and need new left leaf spring. Any comments for me ?

LOL, getting a lot of action on this thread huh?

What exactly do they mean "ripped up"? And what is wrong with the leaf spring, broken?

Thanks..yes the Dodge Dealership used those exact words..ripped. My fault for not asking for more explanation. Planning on having them checked real soon...
But the leaf spring is getting replaced tomorrow...have read that a bad one can cause truck to feel like it is skipping sideways...which it is. Not very fun driving when going 60 over a bump.

ah, well, any stiff suspension vehicle will "skip sideways" over a sharp bump. Look for yourself and see if you have a broken leaf spring. You should have no problem spotting it because it will be, well broken! Don't believe anything a dealership tells you and question anything they show you. Not sure how rear calipers would make the front of your truck clunk.
