2008 Ram 1500 4.7 every morning cold outside or not my truck taps until it is up to operating tempature. It became so annoying to me I decided to investigate the tap. I removed the brake booster and disconnected various connectors to be able to access the drivers side valve cover. Once the valve cover was off I re-connected all of the connectors and started the truck and much to my surprise  I located the tap. 3 of the lash adjusters had failed on the drivers side causing a loud tap that sounded like the bottom end went bad. I was thinking going with solids as a replacement for more reliable performance even though there is more maintnence. What do ya'll think?
