I recently have been issues when I crank my truck up first time of the day. It would make a weird scraping noise then start up at first. After about a week of researching I was thinking the starter so I ordered and replaced it. Now it seems to crank over start for about a second and die. So I went under truck and left Key in on position I can hear the fuel pump working. But I had to bang on it and have my wife start as I was banging and it started both times in last 2 days. But after it gets going I have no issues for the entire day if starting and stopping. It only happens again the next morning Can it be the fuel pump if it only happens during a cold start?
