I’ve decided to replace my brakes i.e. pads, rotors, drums and shoes.
I have a 2008 RAM 1500 ST Regular Cab with 90,000 miles.
The rotors seem to be getting warped as I feel a shake in the front end whenever I break heavy.
I never haul anything really heavy or pull a trailer.
I use my truck to go back and forth to work, that’s about it.
I’m looking for the best brake products available.
I’ll probably go with ceramic pads to cut down on dust and noise.
Ultimately, I want a quality product over price.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a break job so I’m looking to see if anything new exists on the market that I should consider.
From what I’ve read, most everything comes from China/Asia these days so it really doesn’t matter where you buy as the product is likely to be as good from one store to the other.
Is this true?
Does anyone have an opinion on this?
Should go to Autozone, O’Reilly’s, Pep Boys, NAPA or somewhere else?
Where do the OEM brakes come from?
Would OEM be any better than anything else?
Aside from using ceramic brakes and lubricants, what is the best way to reduce brake squeaks?

Here's a trick that you can do to fix your rotors: Find a road with no traffic, drive at 60 mph, apply the brakes firmly without having ABS cut in, slow down to 5-10 mph, speed up to 60 and repeat as many times until brakes start to fade=5 times maybe as many as 10. Once they fade, speed up and drive as fast as you can legally, faster the better for a few minutes. This will straighten the rotors and impress a layer of pad material onto the surface of the rotors and create better friction. When you buy pads, Mopar Premium pads are about as good as they get, check for warrantee. I believe they have a lifetime warrantee. Don't buy crappy Chinese aftermarket rotors. I did not vote, the best are Mopar.

I just noticed the post from Hydrex. I may get booted from this forum after I make my comment. So what he is saying is to heat the brakes to a point to where they start to fail and then drive as fast as you can to work out the warp and or fuse pad material to the rotor. That has to be the most stupid FU%$ing thing I have ever heard, not to mention very dangerous. Anyone reading his post should not follow his moronic advice.
Sir, you are complete idiot.
