Ok, have been getting this strong coolant smell from the truck after trips. Cannot see any leaks, drips or other evidence I am losing coolant. Yet after most highway trips I get this odor.

Operating temps are normal under power, at idle etc...

Any ideas?

Well if there are absolutely no leaks of any kind anywhere, there would be no coolant odor, and just a teaspoon or even less of hot coolant can create a noticeable smell.
It's entirely possible the leak is so small it's not showing up visually in the coolant overflow reservoir or elsewhere just yet.

How many miles on the truck? Is this the original water pump? Original hoses, etc?

2015 1500 V6, touch under 35K. Yes I believe everything is original.

Components in the cooling system shouldn't be giving out yet with that kind of mileage, but things do happen sometimes as we all know.
I think you have a few miles left on the original warranty unless it's timed out. If not, I'd take it in to start the documentation of the problem before it does.
If it has, about the only suggestion I can come up with is a pressure test of the cooling system to confirm a leakdown, and with a bit of luck you'll be able to find an external leak.

Finding an external leak on a hot engine can be tough 'cos reaching around without burning yourself is difficult, and by the time it's all cooled down there's no longer any pressure and any evidence of coolant leakage has all dried up.

With the engine still hot and running, open the hood and have a look around; you could have a very tiny hole in the hose, and it's coming out as a fine spray; that's where the smell would come from...

wasnt looking very hard before when I said no obvious leaks. Below the radiator hose at the water pump. Only enough seepage to dry on the outer housing and not drip to the ground. Nice pink build up. Have appt at dealer aug 20. hopefully just a clamp or something stupid like that.

I have about 24,600 Miles on my very well taken care of Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi 4x4. I have also noticed a slight smell of coolant at front top of grill when walking past front of truck at times after driven. It has never leaked until this last week I had noticed a small drip spot about 10" diameter directly under backside of bumper just of to the left of the radiator dripping down the frame somewhere between the top an bottom dust cover shrouds but could not find actual source of leak. There is evidence of this micro leak going on for sometime based on the dried coolant residue in spots and on the frame.

My reservoir is just below minimum fill line and the last time the oil change was done at the dealer about 5000 miles ago I assume they filled and checked all fluids. I will post soon pictures and I have an appointment with dealer in Reno in a week so hopefully I will get an answer. Just wondering if anyone had found a source yet of their smell and/or leak yet? I am a bit surprised Ram has not offered to answer to this issue yet?
